Insurers approved for Thai long-stay visas
TGIA publishes which companies take part in the long-stay scheme. Being on it matters — but it says less about a policy than most people assume.
The list
14 insurers participate in the O-A scheme. 8 of them are on our own panel, which means a quote here covers most of the certified market.

April MyHEALTH is on our panel but does not appear on the TGIA O-A list. We say so plainly rather than quietly leaving it out. It is a statement about that list only, not about the quality of the product, and if you are buying for a visa it is worth asking the insurer directly.
What being on the list does not tell you
Certification means the insurer participates in the scheme and can issue the certificate immigration wants. It is not a quality rating, and it says nothing about how a plan limits what it pays, how it treats pre-existing conditions, or whether it can decline your renewal.
Two policies from the same certified insurer can differ enormously on all three. Certification gets you through the visa application; the schedule is what decides whether the policy pays when you claim. How limits work.
Which insurance companies are approved for the Thai retirement visa?
TGIA lists 14 participating companies for the O-A scheme, including AXA, Allianz Ayudhya, Pacific Cross, Viriyah, Bangkok Insurance, Thai Health Insurance, Thaivivat and Chubb Samaggi.
Does an insurer being TGIA-listed mean the policy is good?
No. It means the insurer participates in the long-stay scheme and can issue the certificate immigration requires. It is not a quality assessment, and it tells you nothing about the benefit schedule, pre-existing condition terms, or renewal rights.
Can I use a non-listed insurer for an O-A visa?
For the O-A an overseas insurer is acceptable if it signs TGIA's Foreign Insurance Certificate. For the O-X the policy must be a Thai one from an authorised company.
